Military Romantic Movies - I've always been a proponent of a good cry period; But especially during deployments. Sometimes, even if you're not sad, a good romance or a fun movie and "Let It Go." I'm sorry I couldn't stand it anymore.
There are a million non-military movies that can make you cry. But honestly, war movies are the best. We can really relate to what's going on (sometimes) so let's do it.
Military Romantic Movies
1. We Are Soldiers - Share stories of soldiers during early Vietnam. The full movie has not been shot yet. But I remember the scenes of military spouses getting together and camping. Shows with military spouses are protocol; It really shows how far we've come in terms of race relations and more.

2. The Notebook - I think half of the creators have seen this movie. But if you haven't seen it yet, it's a really good love story. It's not a military movie, but the main focus is on a main couple who lose touch because of the war halfway through.
3. Pearl Harbor – This movie will make you cry without any explanation other than the romance twist.
4. Dear John – Channing Tatum fans will love this story of a soldier who falls in love with a college student but ends up in the war. Can their love withstand the test of distance and time? From the author of "The Notebook," it gets all the oozy gooey love you need. It also includes something we don't often do... writing.
5. American Sniper: I haven't seen this one yet, but I know it does a good job of showing what spouses go through on the home front. Author Rebekah Sanderlin explains why this movie is so great for military spouses here. The movie is out, but I hear the book is great.

6. Top Gun - If you were a fan of the eccentric Tom Cruise. There are some playful moments in this tale of him as a naval pilot in training. He falls in love with a civilian instructor and records their love in Berlin's song "Take My Breath Away".
7. In the Land of Blood and Honey - A soldier fighting for the Serbs falls in love with a Bosnian woman who is an inmate of the camp he oversees.
8. An Officer and a Gentleman - Starring Richard Gere and Debra Winger. Richard (Zack) is an arrogant pilot from a military family, and Debra lives near a flight school and is used to the advances of charming and attractive aviation candidates. But they catch each other's eyes and the rest is a heartbreaking but happy story. Tissues, please.
9. The Brothers: A man released from prison begins to comfort his older brother's wife. The older brother was a soldier and a prisoner of war who everyone thought was dead.

10. Christmas Card – According to my friend Kya, this is a tearjerker. It's a Christmas movie with that Hallmark feel, but it's great to watch anytime.
